Biography

Upasak Mukherjee (Upa) is a renowned tabla virtuoso, film and media composer, and producer. Upa's musical journey started at the age of 6, under the guidance of his Tabla Guruji, Grammy nominated Pt. Subhen Chatterjee.

Having collaborated and performed with multiple Grammy artists such as Mike Block, Edward Perez, Claudio Ragazzi, Patrice Rushen, Berklee Indian Ensemble, etc, Upa brings a wealth of experience and artistry to the world of media scoring, production and performance.

While Upa is passionate about storytelling through films and is associated with many award winning projects, in his own music, Upa brings together musical languages from different parts of the world to express joy and togetherness.
